A Rigorous Curriculum Combined with the Dynamic Classroom

Students in the MSMS Remote program take class Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. central time. These are interactive virtual sessions delivered online via live feed.

Self-guided lectures and readings are consumed outside of the classroom, so students are free to study whenever it best fits their schedule. Then, synchronous class time is focused on group discussions, virtual labs, and competency training.

Classes that fit your busy schedule

For most of the MSMS Online, you learn at your own pace in asynchronous classrooms. This includes virtual labs, self-directed learning videos from professors, and small group discussions.

Once a week for two hours, students join a live Zoom class with time options to choose from each week to fit your schedule. This is the only synchronous sessions of the MSMS Online.

Why choose MSMS at PHSU St. Louis?

Technology Forward Learning Environment

MSMS students use the best-in-class apps to apply lessons through innovative technology. This is carried out through our dynamic classroom model: lectures are viewed before class, and in-class sessions are for topic comprehension and interactive learning.

Improved Academic Profile

The challenging curriculum requires the student's undivided attention but results in improved study habits, increased knowledge and skills, and a stronger academic profile. Students also report feeling more confident in their abilities to succeed in further health professional programs.

Real-time Analytics to Identify Strengths and Weakness

Student responses to in-class questions, homework, and exams are tracked to give detailed insight into their performance. Detailed student performance analytics identify topical strengths to pinpoint what career or specialty is best for them.

Find your Professional Pathway

MSMS students take a challenging curriculum that aligns with PHSU's School of Medicine Year 1 students. In turn, MSMS grads are a step ahead of other applicants pursuing a terminal degree in healthcare and are better prepared to start their careers.
